I grew up in North Georgia, graduated from the University of Georgia, and obtained my law degree from Georgia State University (GSU). While at GSU, I had the opportunity to work for the largest DUI firm in the state as well as the United States Attorney Office. As an intern with that office I had the opportunity to try cases while still a law student.

After law school, I became an assistant district attorney in the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, which includes Walton and Newton Counties. After four years with that office, I went to the Clayton County Judicial Circuit for three years. There I had the opportunity to gain tremendous experience in trying major felony cases.

I left that office to work with one of the biggest DUI firms in Atlanta, and then opened my own practice in the metro Atlanta area. This experience of working with prosecuting offices as well as large criminal defense and DUI firms has allowed me a scope of experience not shared by most attorneys. It has also allowed me to cultivate relationships with numerous judges, prosecutors, and other defense attorneys. I use these relationships to better help my clients.

My philosophy is to treat my client as an individual. Every case must be thoroughly examined from a legal and factual standpoint. However, it is not enough to look only at the technical merits of the case, but also to treat each client with respect. That includes keeping lines of communication open. It’s how I would expect my family to be treated. It’s how you deserve to be treated. With my firm, that is what you will get.
